It was just revealed that Super Junior’s Kyu-hyun was threatened with a knife while he was in Spain.
On 27 October, Kyu-hyun tweeted fans about the incident, stating, “A morning in Spain. While on my way back to the hotel, in a strange place, a young man suddenly began to follow me and started a conversation. I had a bad feeling about it, then he took out his knife and began to threaten me. He hectically yelled at me, then gave up and ran away.”
He ended it by asking those who are travelling alone to be careful of such incident.
An SM Entertainment representative assured, “He spoke on the phone with his manager before posting. Thankfully, nothing happened and he is safe now.”
When asked to explain about the incident, SM Entertainment told the media that after completing the “SMTOWN Live NYC” at Madison Square Garden, Super Junior have been taking a break. Kyu-hyun decided to recharge on a solo vacation to Spain where he had the dangerous encounter.
