FT Island holds fan meeting in Japan in celebration of members’ birthdays

FT Island held a fan meeting in Japan on Monday and Tuesday titled “Congratulations!” in celebration of Lee Hong-gi’s and Choi Jong-hoon’s birthdays

At the fan meeting, the band also sang some songs from its fourth EP, “Grown Up,” which was released in Korea in January.

Oh Won Bin Releases First Japanese Single “To the Star”

Former FT Island member Oh Won Bin has released his first Japanese single entitled, “To the Star.”

The single, which includes four tracks, includes a special track, “Midnight Blue”, composed by FT Island’s current bassist Lee Jaejin and written by Won Bin himself. “My Way” was also written by Won Bin.

Park Shin Hye Cheers FT Island On Backstage of their “Play! FT Island!”

After Lee Hong Ki fulfilled his promise to visit former co-star and A.N.Jell bandmate Park Shin Hye on the set of the recently concluded “Heartstrings,” it is the actress’ turn to return the favor.

Park visited Lee and his band FT Island backstage on the second night of their “Play! FT Island!” concert held in Seoul on August 21st. She had previously promised to Lee that she will watch FT Island performing, to thank him for his gesture of friendship.

“Congratulations,” she said. “Good luck on the second night.” To which Lee replied with a “thank you.”

Park uploaded a photo of herself posing with Lee and the other members Choi Jong Hun, Lee Jae Jin, Choi Min Hwan and Song Seung Hyun on her Twitter account. Park and Lee have displayed their friendship on the popular social networking site through the exchange of heartwarming support messages to each other.

FT Island to Perform in Toronto at “Concert for Japan”

FT Island is slated to perform at the music event “Concert for Japan” in Toronto on September 3rd.

“Concert for Japan” is a benefit concert that will be held during Canada’s Labor Day weekend (September 3-4). As stated in the home page, the mission of the event is to raise donations for the homeless, orphans, children, elderly and many more affected by Japan’s earthquake.

The Incheon Korean Music Wave Concert was held on August 13 at the Incheon Munhak Olympic Stadium and many of K-Pop’s biggest groups came to perform. The concert, which was geared toward promoting the city of Incheon to international tourists, was just aired earlier today.
