Movie “Sector 7” Breaks 2 Million Viewers

Seems that the starring cast of Ha Ji-won, Ahn Sung-gi, and Oh Ji-ho can pat themselves on the back. In just 11 days after the 3D version of the domestic movie “Sector 7” was released, already 2 million people have flocked to the theatres to see it.

1st Korean 3D Film Draws 1.5 Million Viewers

The first Korean 3D film “Sector 7” pulled more than 1.5 million viewers in only five days despite mixed reviews.

According to data compiled by the Korean Film Council, it lured 142,612 moviegoers nationwide on Monday, taking the no. 1 spot at the box office and bringing the total to over 1.5 million viewers.

“Sector 7” Press Conference

The press conference for the upcoming 3D sci-fi action movie “Sector 7” was held yesterday afternoon at CGV Wangsimni in Seoul.  Ha Ji Won, Oh Ji Ho, Ahn Sung Ki, and Park Chul Min, who star in the movie, attended the conference, as well as director Kim Ji Hoon.  “Sector 7” is set on an oil drill ship out at sea, where the crew encounters an unknown creature.
